Bonus track · The tiny type on the back of the box

The small print

The legal bit, in plain English. Short version: I collect very little, I don't track you, and there are no cookies on this tape.

The short version

  • No cookies, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.
  • I only collect what you choose to send me: a request or a fan-mail note.
  • Requests come straight to my inbox, on Google Workspace. Fan-mail notes are stored in the EU, on Amazon Web Services in Ireland.
  • I never sell it or add you to a mailing list.

Privacy notice

Who's responsible

This site is run by me, Adam Murray, in London, UK. I'm the data controller for anything you send through it. To ask about your data, email adam@adammurray.ca.

What I collect, and why

Who helps me run it

Amazon Web Services hosts the site, runs the forms, delivers requests to my inbox and stores fan-mail notes, all in its Ireland region in the EU, acting as my data processor. The UK recognises the EU as giving adequate protection for personal data. Email to adam@adammurray.ca is handled by Google Workspace, also as my data processor. Google may process email outside the UK; when it does, it's covered by the safeguards in Google's data processing terms. Nothing is sold, shared for marketing, or used to make automated decisions about you.

Your rights

You can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, delete it, stop using it, or give you a copy. You can withdraw consent for a fan-mail note at any time, and I'll take it down. Email me and I'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab).

Storage on your device

This site doesn't use cookies. When you press Flip, your browser remembers which side you chose (Side A, Side B, or a secret Side C if you find it) as a single value called am-side in its local storage. It's only used to show the site the way you picked it, and it never leaves your device.

UK law allows this kind of storage, for remembering how you like a site to look, without asking first, as long as I tell you about it and you can switch it off. To switch it off, press the button below and the site will follow your device's light or dark setting again.

The fonts are served from this site too, so no other company sees your visit.

Site terms

  • Everything here, the words, design and album art, is © Adam Murray 2026. Quote it with a link back, but please don't copy it wholesale.
  • Nothing on this site is professional, financial or legal advice.
  • Project descriptions are my own account of my role. Company names are left off on purpose.
  • Links to other sites are there because I like them. I'm not responsible for what's on them.
  • Fan mail house rules: be kind. No adverts, no links and no one else's personal details. I read every note before it goes up, and I may shorten it or not publish it. By sending a note, you confirm the words are yours and you're happy for them to appear with your name and place.
  • These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
